Your Childs Brain on Public School

What better analogy could I possibly come up with than a rotten apple hanging on a tree. You've heard the old saying, "One rotten apple spoils the whole bunch", well what do you think happend so often in Public schools? Maybe you remember your school days, maybe you see the influence around you with the kids in your neighborhood. You don't see the bad kids following and emulating the clean cut little Sunday School kids who on the surface don't appear to do anything exciting in life, but you will see lots of good kids, from respectable families walking around bobbing their heads as they strut with their pants hanging half way off and over sized Tee shirts covering their rear, (if your lucky). You might see them hanging out at the local convenience store, maybe getting high out in the fields, maybe even getting into mischief, either way, your child in public school is mixed in with the bad apples, but it doesn't stop there.
A childs brain is a marvelous thing, the brain gets excited about learning and absorbing information. The problem is, every child and every brain is different, some are geared to numbers, some are geared towards events, some are geared towards reaching out in various forms of expression. Likewise, some absorb things at a very rapid rate and others absorb very slowly. Now one of the big problems with public school education is they are geared toward those who are average or below average, so what happens to that sponge that is sucking everything it can in as rapidly as Niagra falls can dump it? Does it just stop and say, no problem, I'll just wait for all these other kids to catch up and then stick it back in gear? No it doesn't, a childs brain does not work that way, when it finishes absorbing the puddle that has been poured out in todays lesson, it immediately seeks new information to absorb which in most cases is coming from other kids who are bored, or from his own imagination. Like the rotten apple hanging on the tree above, it got left hanging while the pickers were waiting for the rest of the apples to ripen, and like the apple on the tree, your childs potential is wasting away while waiting for the rest of the kids to catch up. You've heard idle hands are he devils playmate, what about idle minds.
Unfortunately, the kids who pull Valedictorian are not normally the kids who have the highest IQ and had the ability at one time to absorb years of schooling in a short period of time. No, the really potentially brilliant minds are ussually found on the street corners with the blue jeans and long Tee shirts, hanging out with the Have nots. The brain has been spoiled due to a lack of better more appropriate input to absorb. The best balance for an educational system is only one that can meet each childs needs as they become ready for it.
Outside of expensive private schools that focus on each individual child, the only other way to get this type of one on one, supply as their ready type schooling is through home schooling. Many people say, that is too difficult or I don't know how to home school or I don't know where to start. Others complain of expensive curriculums, but non of these have to be the case with Time-4-Learning. Time4Learning is an internet based home school curriculum that takes your child through their school at their speed, it keeps records of their daily progress and all the tests can be viewed online and test scores can be downloaded for print out. They also have work book pages that can be printed out for paper schooling. After having tried several curriculums with our older children and continued searching for our younger childrens needs, we finally found Time4Learning and all our needs were met. Our 9 year old boy went from 4th grade and into his 5th grade work in one years time. By the end of this school year he will be working 6th grade and possibly even into his 7th grade curriculum. I'm not just bragging about this curriculum, I'm very impressed with it and highly recommend giving Time4Learning a try, especially since you can try it for 2 weeks absolutely free. When it comes to your child, its about Time-4-Learning.
